1. How do I order a fireplace mantel?

Contact us and our Professional Staff will walk you through the entire exciting process of creating fireplace systems that are unique to your project.

2. How do I measure my fireplace?

If you are local, our Professional Staff will visit your project and provide the measure as part of our standard services. If you are out of the area, please reference our “Fireplace Surround Worksheet” located under the Technical Info tab of this website. Once you’ve taken the required measurements, our Professional Staff will review your Worksheet with you to confirm accuracy.

3. Who installs the fireplace products?

All of our Fireplace products are quoted with installation by our team of professionals. However, if you would like to complete the installation yourself, many of our products may be installed by others as long as our installation requirements are adhered to.

4. Is there a finish required?

No. Our cast stone products are available in over 10 standard colors and 3 different finishes. However if you wish to have an artist antique or faux finish the mantel, our products will accept their materials.

5. How long will Cast Stone last?

Some of the oldest monuments in the world were built up to 2,500 years ago using Cast Stone.

6. Do I need to seal the fireplace mantel?

Sealing is recommended but not required. Cast Stone products are porous and therefore subject to staining. We can provide you with the appropriate sealer at the time of installation or can arrange to seal the package after the product has cured.

7. How do I clean my Cast Stone?

With lukewarm water and a clean white cloth.

8. What is the fireplace mantel made of?

Each mantel is made of real Cast Stone, a process that has been in use for over 500 years. Included in the mix are Portland Cement, Crushed Marble, Color Pigment, Fiberglass Reinforcing Materials and Polymer. This is a very labor intensive process but the finished product is much stronger and very similar in appearance to natural stone. In addition, the price is a fraction of the cost of natural stone. Cast Stone is a non-combustible product and can be used directly next to the firebox opening. This eliminates the need and cost of other interior surrounds that are required with a wood or plaster mantel.

9. Do you do custom work?

Yes. If you are unable to find a style you are looking for in our standard product line, we will be happy to quote a custom design for your project.

10. Do you do demolition of existing fireplaces?

Yes. Demolition is available.

11. Are there different colors and finishes available?

Yes. We have 10 standard colors available to choose from and 3 different finish styles.

12. What if the firebox opening does not seem to fit the standard mantel dimensions?

If the fireplace mantel you desire does not appear to fit your firebox, discuss it with our Professional Staff. Often we are able to alter the mantel in such a manner that will retain the integrity of the design while fitting your individual needs. Height of firebox openings can be altered in most cases. We can also adapt our over mantels to go with most of our designs.

13. What is the lead time for my mantel?

It is important to remember that you are purchasing a custom product made by hand. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for production and installation of your fireplace mantel. If you require a different timeframe, please notify us and we will do whatever we can to accommodate your needs.

14. How is the fireplace mantel delivered?

Our crew will deliver the mantel at the time of installation. If installation is not being provided, alternate delivery options are available.
